Newcomers, David and Leo, stopped by to see what the classes are all about. I showed them basic wrapping skills and let them take over on a rod to see how it goes. They did very well and had a bunch of fun spinning up their 1st wraps ever!
I also showed the guys how to shape the corners of a hypolon grip(used a belt sander in the bathroom, how awesome is that?) and how to install X-tube over corktape with a heat gun.
It was a great night of learning and sharing ideas, with Myke, James and Damon dropping by, as well. Myke had just re-wrapped a rod that was off spline and brought it by to show the progress he had made on it. The tiger wrap he did was incredible, too!
Here are some pics...Sorry, totally forgot to get a shot of Myke's tiger. Maybe he'll post some of his own here???

-Damon | Cool, Damon.I'll check the other thread to see what we'll be in for . David and Leo will be picking up their new Rainshadow blanks and we'll be showing them how to set those up, as well.
Looks like a fun night is in store for us all.
All new-comers are welcome, just show up to see how fun it is building your own custom sticks!

The tiger is just like I thought it would be!!! You are very talented, put the next one on a worthy stick. Make sure you bring it to the next 'class'.

Sorry it's taken so long to get the pics out from last weeks class. Been a lil' busy w/ the MLPA Awareness Caravans that happened yesterday.
We set up some new Rainshadow blanks for David and Leo, got Ricardo going on how to repair a broken guide. Also, John Mahan (Woob) brought by his latest creation with a beautiful cross-wrap with whites and blues--pretty hard to keep that white clean while doing cross wraps, so good job, John. He put some killer metal inlays in the grips on either side of the Alps seat, as well.
Here are the pics....
