Lightbulb Our 2009 rod lineup

will have a silver and black them. Since 2001, we have had a series of swimbait rods called the BoneCrusher series, which featured a skull and crossbones logo. We did really well with this series; the skull and crossbones logo was very popular.

I addition to our special order custom rods, we also carry 'shop custom' rods, which follow a theme and a color scheme, which the customer can purchase that day, or request small modifications/options, such as additional custom logos, or the customer's name.
Our 2009 shop custom rods will be called 'Kaizokumaki' which translates roughly into 'Pirate Rods'.

We will continue to put the skull and crossbones like we did in the "BoneCrusher" series.
By the way, the way the rods got named that is a short, interesting story.
We were testing the swimbait rods for hooksetting power, fishing the EWG 8/0 Gamakatsu hook in 8 inch soft baits. We had put a few Largemouth Bass in the boat (took the promo snaps, and released, of course), when my prostaff set up on a good fish, loaded up the rod, then the line went slack. No way we broke the 65 lb. braid with 40 lb. fluro. He said "I think I am bringing up weeds". What he brought up surprised us both--a very dead 6.75 lb. bass. The 8/0 hook had went through the roof of the fish's mouth, and pierced something vital (brain?). I said "Man, what a bone crushing hookset" and the name stuck.

Each rod has a serial number, handwritten in my crappy writing, which is also the number on the guarantee/warranty card that we give to the customer.

Offsetting silver on black logo, and black on silver logo. We make almost 50 styles of rods, from 3 wt. Flyrods to 130 lb. IGFA Trolling rods, but most of our market is bass rods, specifically swimbait rods, which we have a dozen styles to choose from. This rod is for throwing the largest of wood swimbaits, 200 to 500 grams, and has been a popular rod for us three years running.

I like this style frame for spiral wrapped rods.
The underwrap is Rice silver 'A', with a false band in the center (just the bare blank), Black Justice size 'B' for the guide wrap, and Guidebrod HT Metallic Black 'A' for the endcaps.

Nice work G.... just curious.. which brand (s) of blanks do you use. Different manufacturers for different applications??? Does anyone manufacture blanks to your specs?
