help on this one

so i was out fishing sunday on the cattle boat and got the old drummer from social d to sign my rod with a sharpie only thing i could find on the boat it has already wore off alittle with just from bringing it from the boat to my house if i use flex coat ove the sharpie its going to disipate the ink right

I totally wouldn't have pegged any of those guys for fishermen, very cool. A few years back I watched Mike Ness jump feet first into a crowd of New Jersey uprise skinheads at a show at the Electric factory in Philly. That took balls. Sharpy should be fine as long as you give it time to set.

thanks man yea they are my all time favorite mike is insane but yea they like to fish and relax with the best of them yea the sharpie sets up but once you rub it it goes from dark to light its there but not like i want

try a thin coat of color preserver. That should give you a solid barrier to allow the application of finish.

I didn't know Ness and the band fished- and on a cattle boat no less. Shit I would take any one of them out for free any day. Bet they would get tired of listening to thier own stuff all day long though.

You may be able to find a clear finish at a art and craft store which would work. I did in the past but forgot what the stuff was. It was in the paint area.

Fixatif is what artists use. Krylon Workable Fixatif is what I use to seal the ink on waterslide material, for example. Walmart even has the stuff
