Calstar GF700H

Here's a Calstar GF700H that I just finished. X-wrap over EVA, Alps reel seat and guides, blank shortened by 4" (butt), guides triple-wrapped (1 under, 2 over) and a tiger wrap with 5 size "A" metallics under (silver, gold, royal blue, aquamarine and black) with 2 size "A" colors over (royal blue NCP and royal blue HT electra) with size C pullout. Rod is super light and designed for use as a 40 lb. stick. I capped the foregrip with winding checks so replacing the X-wrap in the future would be a snap. Randy.

Another fine example of perfection, do you thin your finish on your between coats?

Nice Randy! Not only is the thread work and finish clean as always, but you did an impeccable job on the handle, which is no easy task i guarantee this. Getting that Xflocked lined up like that, and wrapped just right over the end of the hyp (EVA) and tuck nicely into the gimbal all takes alot of time to do it right. You nailed it. Nice downlocking install.

I dig all the photos. Seeing the complete build that nice is inspiring. I always like to see the build, not just the threadwork. You rocked it.
