Fuji BNLG guides

Hello,

I wanted to build a rod using these guides. Its going to be a 8' 10-17 lbs. casting rod. I want to use a low profile reel with 10-12 lbs mono and 15-17 lbs. spectra. Will the BNLG guides be able to withstand the braided line? If not what would be a good idea to use? I want to try to keep it under 30$ total for all 9 guides.

Thanks,

Chris

BNLG will be fine for spectra that light, not to mention if you build yourself and one breaks, replace the .27 C guide and your right back after it. GOOD TO GO KID.

Look at the hardness specs for the various materials. Spectra, BTW, is ultra high molecular weight poly. Truth be told, even stainless is harder than spectra.
Those rings will be fine on there.
It isn't the spectra that is abrasive, BTW. UHMW Poly is darn near as slippery as teflon. But the braid can pick up and trap minerals and sand,,,, which AREe hard and abrasive enough to eat guide materials. So if doing surf work, you might need harder guides to deal with that.
