Look closely at the handle, the first one sheered off and another was put on the broke in two, I finished with a pair of 12 inch vice grips. Girth and I were skip jigging Tady9's at Clipperton, I tried to hand it off but no one want to try, it taped out at 185lbs, its dark cause it was hooked at sundown, Girth lost a nice one as well. The reel was 5.3 ratio with 60lb mono, I did not want the higher gear ratio for attemping this stunt. By the way the fish tore me a new asshole.

The SScjbf100 that El Capo had wrapped is sweet but I do not see it as a rod I would take down to Clipperton or the Bank unless for fishing scooters,

That's really the question - do you think this blank can fish 50lb/60lb. Capo - yes - need 1 more - I left 1 the full 10 and I want to cut 4-6 off another one for some extra firmness.

Scooter/Reus - with as much as your on the water - your tackle makes sense - keep low miles on those classic cars.

I have no doubt it can fish 50lb, its a steller jurel stick.

Good luck Corb, it should be Cream Corn at Cedros/Benitos by then.
