I'm looking to add a Rod Ring to one of my Rods and came across this two-piece made by Reel Colors. Has anyone used these and if so what do you think of them? I use a Narrow Accurate 665 on my Jig Stick and the clamp that came with it doesn't fit. I found this on the web at Reelcolors.com/rod rings and also believe that Bass Pro Shops carry them too. They look like they would work well on an Aftco Reel Seat, but what about a Fuji Seat? Any insight or thoughts would be great before I order one. Thanks...Mark
Are you looking for a reel clamp or a ring that you can attach harness straps on? The rod ring would work fine for the latter. I'd guess it would look best with an aluminum reelseat. I'd also use a one piece ring which is probably stronger. If you are looking for a clamp to help hold the reel, check out a "cork puppie" from JR Jones.
