After drooling over the Rods built by Randy "Putter" Parpart, Doc Ski, Stan Grace and Mark Blabaum for the Kustom for Kids charity rods over the last couple of years, I was blown away at a Thank You gift that Putter recently built for Doc. It was a bad ass little Bass rod with all of Putter's "touches". Mark Blabaum hardwood inlay split grips with a Tiger Wrapped name plate, Quicklock trigger seat, diamond wrap and marbled guides.
Colleen obviously noticed my chub when I was looking at Doc's gift, because she had Putter build one for me as a Bday gift. This rod is friggen outstanding. Can't decide whether to fish with it or sleep with it. Seems more like it should be in a museum.
As I was cussing my photo editor trying to get some decent pics, Colleen goes "here, Randy sent this" and gives me a photo that Putter sent after I messed around for an hour with mine, so I posted both.
Did he get your guides on the correct side like this Doc?
What are you going to do about fishing with YOURS Doc? Maybe we should take 'em to Castaic and have a couple of Hooters girls carry them around on velvet pillows between casts just so we can say we fished them.
Randy, THANK YOU for taking this on. I'll cherish this one for sure.
