| Packing up for the West Coast Custom Rod Building Show
I am packing the trailer for the West Coast Custom Rod Building Show on May 3rd. I will be bringing what I feel is important to display at this (1st annual) event from the Batson Enterprises - Rainshadow/Forecast/ALPS product lines. Please remember to come by and see and touch all the Batson Products on display. This display is set up for you the consumer/rodbuilders, I am a rod builder and have been for many years and I know how important it is to have it in your hand. We will be displaying over 60 different models of blanks ( only 15% of the models we stock, over 420 models). I will also be bring about 50 of my personal favorite built rods from my collection for comparisons on <Built to Blank> If there is a particular blank that you know you would like to shake and feel please contact me directly and I will make sure to bring it. This event is for you, I am there to support you the Rod builder. I will have a distributor there that will be selling our products, we are a Wholesaler and will not be selling products.
We will also have a full display of our ALPS and Forecast Rodbuilding Components. these will also be for you to pick up and touch and examine. I will be more than happy to answer any questions you have in regards to our products and any application you are trying to achieve. There will also be others at this show that are very knowledgable in any sort of Rod construction you might be considering.
I am Driving from the Great North West city of Sequim. I am coming to support the industry that I love. The Batson TEAM is committed to this Great Industry/Art. I look forward to meeting with as many of you as possible. I look forward to also learning from you all, this is how we can better service the area with Quality products.
Without the support the industry has shown the Batson product lines this would not be possible so I personally THANK YOU ALL>>

Bill,
Since your taking requests, I'd like to see one of the 6' 4" (30-50 lb) fiberglass blanks in white if at all possible. I'll buy from one of your venders if you bring it. Bring two if you've got 'em. Randy.

Hi Bill I am really excited you are bringing your stuff down to show the California market what you have and the great quality it is. I will try to bring my 80L MARLIN/SHARK KILLER with me too. Its got a couple dings but that is cause I fish hard.
I hope everyone gets a chance to get a close look at the Batson blanks and components. They really are something. Both Bill and Karry are excellent fishermen so they know what is right and works for our marketplace. They are great folks too.

Bill,
Please pack an extra ULUA bell for the lid of Doc's beer cooler.
I was shocked that with Rocky's bitchin' new booth, there were no tap handles, plumbing or urinals on Doc's end...

Randy,
I will make sure to pack two of those for you. That is the .595"X.281"X76" - White.
These are Solid Glass blanks and make great beater rods for any type of Harvesting. These are indistructable, as I personally have never seen one break or ever even heard of one breaking. May i ask the application in which you will be using them for? I am always interested in what folks use and why,, this is a great tool for learning. so I can pass it on to others so that they may also enjoy the "Fishing Experience"
**The list has started>> Please feel free to add to it.
Doc,
Thank you for the kind words>>

See what I was telling you in our last email Bill. Mark has already started picking on me and NOTICE I didnt start it. Everyone wonders why I have become so withdrawn and quiet. (cough) It is because of such mean spirited treatment like Mark is displaying in front of everyone. All because of his frustrations about not being able to catch fish with our a crew member handing one off to him. Hey I bet you and I can hand him a few on our charter after the show.
Mark why do I need plumbing in my booth. I just have to go across the room and visit yours. Mind you the tap idea has real merrit.
By the way gang, Mark should have a full line of Bills products in his booth or at least available for shipping.
Damn I am getting excited about this shindig.

Look at Bill stayin' all "PC" up there. Dude, 24 hours elbow to elbow with Doc on the rail and at the poker table and you'll be singing a different tune.
Doc, I'm still about ten posts in the hole without a come back to you. You hoping to catch a first time BD reader so you can look "picked on"? LMAO
I've already decided I'm not fishing with you Monday. I'm just gonna fetch you beer and dump your wizz cup. lol

Bill,
I'm trying a few different blanks to see what I like best for Rock Cod. I've been looking for a slightly lighter (line class) blank that's fiberglass (softer) especially in white. I'll build them out and see how they do. I'm doing more rockfishing in the colder months so I could use a couple new rigs. Randy.

| Doc isn't all bad, he"s actually a softy underneath his rough exterior. - Just ask the doggie that he's holding, or Steve Gustlin, who's looking on. (notice that the pup is eyeballing Doc's beer). Photo taken at the "The Day at the Docks", in San Diego last week. |

Mark,
I will bring the ULUA bell for you to plant where you feel you need to>> Just don't put it on my cooler.
Randy,
Thank you for the application. I will make sure they get packed.
Ken,
The rumor is correct. This is a catalog year for us (every 2 years) and it will be packed with literally hundreds of new and improved Quality products from the Batson Enterprises - Rainshadow/Forecast/ALPS product lines. It is no secret that we have been targeting the West Coast salt water market. We first started by being the First company to introduce SS316 as a substrate material for guide frames. We then introduced the RCLB (Rainshadow Composite Live Bait) Blanks , which have done Extremely well and exceeded our expectations. We will now be introducing more guide styles in the SS316 and more models based off the RCLB designs. We will also offer over 50 new blank models(added to our existing 419 models that we stock now) and Many different Quality products to be available to the Custom Rod building market. Our new Color Catalog will be approximatly 120 pages and IMHO the finest catalog of its kind in the industry. We work on what the industry considers the "Tackle Year" - July 1st - June 30th. this is in conjunction with the I-Cast show ( Largest fishing show in the industry held in July). At that time we will be showing ALL of our new developments and be sending new catalog to all who are interested (FREE of Charge). I will not be displaying any of the new products until then. The testing has been done and the samples have been photographed. We take what we do for this industry VERY seriously and I will not tip my hand until it is time. I will have everyone of our "so called" competitors at this show in May and I care not to have them see what I am doing until July.
I know everyone that will attend the show will be pleasently surprised at the selection that Batson Enteprises brings to the industry. We would not be the company we are today with all of your support and we THANK you for that.
The Vision Continues"
Please feel free to contact us anytime with questions. We are a different kind of company>we are not just a company that buys and sells others products. We are the designers/testers/rodbuilders of our products. We find better ways to make the perverbial mousetrap. We are here to better this industry/ART of rodbuilding to make the final "fishing Experience" the best it can be.
Thanks Again for your support and I look foreward to meeting you all next weekend>>
