newell p-series(more aluminum), I like the 332 for SoCal yellows(avg5-25lbs), the 533 has 4/0 drags better for 40-50# and bigger yellows(40-60lb+) like you might find at Cedros or Guadalupe or at the secret spot in LJ

. but you'll need to know how to take it apart and put it back together, which is very easy and fun. greased carbon fiber drag upgrade or smoothie kit, keep the bearings lubed and fill it up with 65# spectra(which lasts forever, almost) and a 50-100yd topshot and yer set. You can get a 1/2lb spool of ande 40 and change your line out every other trip and you'll only be changing a small amount of line not the whole damn spool.

The Saltist is a sick reel too, but the Newell will out cast it. The drags on the 332-338 are better for 30#(jigmaster size), you gotta really tighten it down to get the benefit outa 40#, I use 40# on my 332 jigstick though.
The Saltist drags will handle 40# easily and button down a little tighter. You can upgrade the Saltist drags too.

There is a huge discussion on here regarding Newells, Toriums & Saltists. Either way, yellows will die.
