Go up to the 500 series Newell, the drags are better.

Go for the saltist 30T super torque 4.9:1 (forget the high speed 30TH), you'll be amazed of the cranking power.

just pick one and if you dont like it sell it and get the other...for 30lb, id get the saltist 40 on a 800m or seeker 270-8H. i dont do spectra or anything so that reel will hold plenty of straight 30lb mono.

Try the newell 540.5.5 or 530.5.5. Full spool retrieve is 44" per crank. Yellow tail go for faster iron when they are fussy. They still have freespool ajustment to fine tune casting. They are light weight graphite reels and over the last 10 years have burned out to drag systems. Sent them back to newell and they rebuilt them for $45.00. I take an extra on my mexican trips because they can't be beat for speed and fish count.
