The Tekota 500 is sweet on the Luna 300.

Re: aftermarket handle for luna 300?

The star on the Luna 300 will touch the curve edge of the Tekota 500 handle. I used to have this handle on mine. It is not bad enough but is noticable. I now use Trinidad 16 handle on this reel and it is perfect. The knob on the trinidad is more comfortable than the Tekota and the star is no longer touching the handle. The only down side is the handle cost $41 at Shimano....

While you are at it you should order the metal washers and carbontex washers for this reel from Smooth Drag. Put some Cal grease on it and it should be good for a long while. Lots of top end drags that you don't really need! I could snap 20lbs line on mine.
