| Avet Clicker blow out
My clicker on my Avet JX had a blow out. My drag has been ripped one too many times while trolling this season I guess. Was it the dorado, the yellow tail, or the endless bonitos on sunday. Or leaving it on while I let the lures back. Probably the latter. I hope it is not a pain in the ass to fix. Anyone had this problem?

What happened? All of the fish you mentioned could easily be handled by an SX.

No doubt. I am sure it was operator failure. Like letting the diving plug back with the clicker screaming. I would like to get one of those little SX's . It would be more than enough for most if not all the fish I catch.

I've had just about every clicker I've ever used need to have the spool moved at some point. I usuall try and engage all clickers while the spool is moving. It seems to make engagement easier not to mention I know it's engaged 'cause I hear it. Only time I've ever had an issue with clickers is on a stopped spool.

Have to agree with DoubleZ, I have 5 avets incl the SX and have pulled in 30+Yellowtail and no problem. Why do you even engage the clicker? Makes no sense. Only time clicker is ever on is when I am on the troll an then thats the 4/0 or the penn .
