Hey, I can't stop someone from buying a $450 (charbait price) reel. Just seems steep for a single speed. I can see if you were gonna target 100+ pound fish or something like that, since lever drags generally do a better job of dispersing the heat of a smoking drag when a fish heads to the horizon.
But you and I can have a little contest.
You leave your 665 at the bottom of the ocean, and I'll put my Baja next to it. Drags completely backed off. We'll pick them up after a week, and see which one still works.
Or, you drag your 665 across the non-skid of the Q105, from bow to stern. I'll do the same with my Baja. We'll see whose feelings are hurt more.
How about this...you take your 665 completely apart, all the way down to the screws, in the galley of a 45' rocking boat heading out of Half Moon Bay in February, and I'll do it to my Baja. Let's see who can put theirs back together without a diagram, with just a screwdriver, and have it working first.
You strip the gears on your 665, and I'll do the same with my Baja. Betcha a shiny new dime I'll fix mine before Accurate fixes it for you sends it back.
You throw a Tady 45 with your 665, drag buttoned all the way down on a 90j, I'll do the same with my Baja. We'll see which jig goes farther.
We each get $500. You buy a new 665, I'll buy a new Baja. We'll see who can get the most lap dances at Pure Platinum with the change. beaver
Ya up to it?
