Love 'em. I own three 270's (two I bought from 'vellocity'). They take a while and many bird nests to get used to, unless you get the cast-control version, which I now don't prefer having learned on the original. I will probably get more of their products after I win the lottery.. Seriously though, good products. Accurate stands behind them, although service/repair/warranty work is sometimes slow.

Accurate's reels can be difficult to cast, but their drag system is the finest on the market, and overall, their single speed reels are second only to the Saltigas (IMFUO).
If you want the best bang for the buck, then you have to consider the Avet. If you want the best reel, choose the Accurate.

I own a bunch of accurates and love them. Casting really isn't that tough you just have to remember you're casting a lever drag not a star drag so you won't get as much distance. The 270 though, does cast like a dream. The drags are second to none. I have had nothing but great service from Accurate.
I also own a couple of saltigas and though they do cast better the drags aren't anywhere near as good as the accurates.

Good drags, really smooth, a little heavy. For that kind of money, I'd also give consideration to the TN16N, Saltiga 20 or 30, or a JX 6/3. And expect to hear from the Newell and Penn guys. I'm partial to the Saltigas and Avets.

you can't beat the drags on Accurates.. but to use the drags to it's fullest you need to fish heavier line, or just use a Torium to get the job done...
i fished 40-50# short topshots on my 270's when i had them.... i sold my 270's cause i had 870's and 665's doing the same jobs in the same line classes..
i ended up selling all my Accurates cause i was honestly tired of trying not to get them scratched cause they were so damn expensive...
i went back to Toriums, Trinidads, and TLD's.. now i treat them like shit and they still do the job!
