Lightbulb Daiwa 30TH Reel Clamp {Fix}

I finally took a few pix of how I handled this problem. I'm not saying it's the best, it's just what I have come up with so far without spending too much cash.

Here is the STOCK bolts/screws and the CHOPPED bolts/screws with washers and low profile reel clamp.

Load up the New Clamp with as many washers as you may need.

For this rod, I only needed 1 washer per side and perphaps could have done without the washers.

Low Profile.

Top view, I could probably tighten these down even more. Or even have a little bit more thread on these bolts. These particular bolts were cut to match a Calstar 800m, but this rod is a 270.

Now fits in my hand much nicer.

So far so good. Thanks!

afran, that is exactly what i was going to do exept leave alittle tit on the end of the cut nuts so i wouldn't have to use washers. however, i am putting my 30t on a kencor jigstick and the bolt/nuts are perfect length. i just need to get a better clamp that cradles the blank/reelseat better around it instead of putting direct pressure on the back of the blank/reelseat. i crushed a reelseat trying to tighten it up. too much pressure in one area instead of being distributed around with that stock 30t clamp.

OK so I just bought a Daiwa 30T. What's the problem you are experiencing?

It was a little big in my hand to grab. While reeling, the clamp rested on my fore arm and was pissing me off.

There are a number of "fixes" for this situation. Do a search and check it out.
