I have one. 60-100# with roller stripper and roller tip. Never really put it to the test with a large fish, but it works great for a local troller. I would be sure to check the specs to see that the guides are at least double wrapped though. I would have no hesitation buying more heavy rods by Pinnacle Marine. They use good quality components.

I have purchased several rods over the years from Pinnacle Marine Outfitters both directly and through Ebay (trollingear.com). All I can say is what a deal for the quality. Everything is always better than advertised. The roller guides on the older rods (2005) required lubrication to remain smooth, but the recent rods I purchased (early 2007) with Pac Bay Eliminator guides are awesome. I believe the whole line now has the newer roller guides. I will be a return customer.
