drag fix up

well my torium took a shit on me. my drag plates cracked... from 4 albie trips. anybody know how often i should change it?


and does it take like 15 min to replace it at a tackle store? too lazy to do it myself.

I try to change out the drags on the reels I use alot EVERY SEASON, depending on the wear and tear they have been subject to.

....................shoot, now AnnieO is gonna be after me for ending a sentence with a proposition..........

Replace the stock Dratantium drag washers with smooth drag carbontex washers.Bring your reel into me at Pacific edge tackle and I will show you how to change your drags and maintain them.Very easy thing to do.

Shoulda bought a newell. My drag washers havent cracked after 3 shmalbacore trips and 40+ jellowtails. It sounds like you know how to take reels apart but not put em back together, . Just fuckin with ya.

send reel back to shimano, there very cool about warranty/defects.You'll probably have to pay shipping on the reel but they'll fix or replace for free>

Seriously, the dratanium washers are notoriously fragile. Very easy to break on assembly/disassembly.

well since i aint got other shit to do i figured i try to figure out how to do everything. so i did. but im stuck at one part. anyone know how to get the drag star on the reel bar? i have some pics. hopefully some of you know what im talking about
