Yes, no more freebies. Just paid $16 and change to have an ARB bearing sent to me.

Monday I picked up 4 reels from Shimano that had gone in for routine maint. and it cost me $100! They are charging a rate of 20 and 25 for service now. Kinda steep but still excellent service; they even exchanged my old corsair for a corvalus.

Another option is to contact Alan Tani. He's the NorCal reel guru. He's probably the nicest dude you'll ever meet and does his work for damn near nothing. He does reel repair seminars every now and then for free. He posts on a couple different NorCal fishing websites. If any of y'all want to talk to him look on Fullspeed (I think he's on that board. I could be wrong though, hell I'm drunk) or you can just PM me and I'll find his contact info.

I dropped off three reels with Joey at Squidco a week ago, a TLD20, TLD15 and a Penn 500. Got'em back today, they were all serviced with drags done. Cost me a total of 42.71 and worth every penny.

Don't forget the Adult Superstore next door to Squidco & the China Buffet next to Pacers.
