Name: greg Vessel: haynes 5.2mt Location: queensland australia Job:signmaker | What`s your favourite all time reel?
In other words, if you could only own one reel, which one would you choose?
I know this is an unrealistic, purely hypothetical question, but I`m interested in the choices.
Thanks
Basto

Of the reels I've owned (which are few) I gotta say for salt water the Penn Jigmaster 501 lh. For fresh water, the Abu Garcia Ambassadeur c3 4601. Both with all the upgraded shit I've added over the last few years. Both are bullet proof and parts can be found damn near everywhere.

Shimano Tiagra 50WLRS. Full spread of blue marlin lures at the East Cape in August, life is good.
Of course you know this is a lie when you see all the other reels I have.

All time huh! Wouldent replace my Trini's for nuttin now but old school of coarse is my retired 500's from yesteryear. Nothing says I got a big one better then a 500 spooled with 40 lb. with a blistering 60 lb. skinny on the other end....Deckhand standing behind you pouring water on the reel and together trying to keep the sideplates on the frame. Now thats old school for all you youngsters.....
