penn squidder jr with newell kit filled with 15# ande on a sabre 196-7. you could fill a 40 yrd dumpster with all the fish i've caught on that rig. true so cal classic

Geez, thanks guys, great response! and very interesting. Forgot to say, can`t decide between my jx and my torium20.
Have seen some beautiful 113h with full Accurate goodies., wish we got all that here down under.
How about some pics of those custom jobs.

I'd have to vote for the Ambassadeur 6500 C3. A majority of my fishing has been for salmon/steelhead so the Ambassadeurs are the go-to reels of all time. I've landed everything from bluegill to sturgeon on those reels.

Not even close for me.... The Accurate Boss 870 2 speed. A true 30, 40 and 50 pound reel that can fish 20 and 60 if called upon to do so. Bait or jigs all you have to do is set it up with the appropriate amount of Spectra, top shot or wind on and you are good to go.

Another vote for the Accurate B2-870. Reel can handle anything from 20lbs to 50lbs test.

Toss up between my Newell 220 and my Shimano Curados... They're both my absolute favorite reel for the seperate applications that I use them....

oddly, i still grab my accurate framed 114 4/0 even though its close to 15 yrs old and sitting next to a few of (newer) 2-speed accurates and avet reeled set ups...
