CURADO 300 - line advice

I just go my new curado 301 - (lefty)

I want to fill it up with braid - any suggestions on what brand and lb test?

I was looking into the Spiderwire Ultracast Invisi-Braid and maybe 30 - 40 lb test. I will be using this for swimbaits - crocs and surface irons.

Thanks in advance.

And it is confirmed that shimano is making a new model for the curado - so all the old ones will be on sale- i got mine for 200

I have mine loaded with 200 yds of 50# spectra all the way to the top.
I use mine for calico fishing, throwing swimbaits.

I just got my 300TE (same size spool) spooled with ~250yds of 30# izorline braid and a 3 foot leader of 15lb p-line fluoro.

Say away from spiderwire, powerpro, etc. Get either izorline, jerry brown, or tuf line...

id load it with 50#. i know others say 65# but, I fish 65# on my 40# stuff and pull so much harder on tuna than you would ever need for any bass application with no failures, that 50# should be all you will need. Maybe lose a fish to structure occasionally, thats fishing. Also, the 50 will cast a little better. Getting ready to put 50# on da' 300 and 30# on da' 200, which will be for fishing smaller swimmies and topwater.

Im not trying to be macho camacho or pull on tuna...but 65 will take less line to fill that spool. And I like the 65, it is a little thicker and just my personal pick.

I considered going with 65# on mine too, but opted for the 50# for casting big baits, really big baits. Both will work. Lots of freshwater bass guys fishing straight 65#, also a good choice.

I've got 30$ power pro on mine and like it. Just shy of 300yds. Maybe about 275.

Works in the bays and the kelp. It was even great for some of the big bonito out at the south 9 a couple of weeks ago.
