Shimano Calcutta or Penn What? I dont know of a reel that penn makes in the same class as a calcutta.
Curado or REVO Inshores. Calcuttas are good reels too.
Hard to beat the quality and value of Shimano.

The Torques are heavy ass reels. I don't know why anyone would use that heavy of a reel anymore for anything. They do seem very solid though.

I used to have a Calcutta 700 LW. It was a pretty good albie & Yellowtail reel. I sold it a few years ago. Now we saltwater fish exclusively Peen & Daiwa. Shimano does make pretty good reels, but its high-end stuff is pricey. To my way of thinking, Saltiga reels are damned hard to beat. And while we have a couple newer model Baja Specials, we have yet to put them to task. However, they are built like tanks. And the old SealineX and GrandWaveZ models are virtually indestructible.
Regardless, with model manufacturing techniques, I think good quality reels from major manufacturers will serve their owners well. It arguably boils down to preference!
Good fishing,
TT

They are too heavy for a single speed reel, and were I to fish heavy braid I would buy a two-speed. I really like the 16VSX. I would buy one before I bought a Torque, but that's just me. Gas mileage will vary depending on usage!
BTW, a few years ago the jackpot winner aboard a 5 day RRIII trip used a Saltiga 30 to board a 130 Yellow Fin Tuna. Pretty damned impressive! However, owning two Saltiga 50 reels for 'lupe Yellow Fin Tuna, I can write that they are tough reels with gears that'll choke the tax man!
Good fishing,
TT
