Need Help Please newell p229

I cant get my handle to spin smooth like all my others. I put in new drags but still. Also when i tighten the screws my handle spins both ways can anybody help.

Sounds like when you took it apart you did not put the anti reverse dog back in it.... If that dog is not in place it will allow the handle to spin both ways... The dog could be in place but you could have forgot to reinstall the dog spring..

make sure the washer ears are in the grooves too. A tilted washer can bind the shaft.... pertaining to your smooth crank.
