Name: phil Age: 33 Vessel: N/A Location: LOS ANGELES Job:SALES | what reel to get for fishing yellows on the surface iron?? i am getting ready for an 8 day trip at the end of this month and i am wondering if a torium 16 is a reel that i can fish out the box?? i will fish it with spectra and just enough mono to whip it out there. i hear that i can fish it 40 or 50# test no problem because the newer ones have the drag plate upgraded. im leaning on that one because i dont want to spend up to 500.00$(with the upgrades) on a trini 16.
i just wonder if the torium can handle the big yellows at cedros or alijos and how does it cast??
thnxxxxx for any feedback and advice!!!!!
