Which Handles...

...can fit or be interchanged on to other brand reels. Is all the arbor holes all different? Thanks in advance.

phil, nearly every frickin' one of these is different!!!!!! drives me nuts. you can't even get a daiwa handle to fit on a shimano. to get around that problem, the best thing to do is find a good "bolt on" grip and just use the stock arm.

I know it was a far out post but. I love the accurate offset arms but they only fit penn and there own. Penn steel are trash. Trini handles arms are a dream but the knobs get sticky after awhile (which may be good). But feel good. Torium handles are forged steel to heavy again. I am a shorecaster and now fish only shimanos and large Newells. Weight is my concern here. Counter weights do nothing for me when cranking 6 to 9 oz leads. I like the Tiburon tbar light handles. Its has a small offset slant and like the one alan has, and I like them on aluminum offset arms. So maybe the trini arms with the tbar handle? Whew that may be costly.

I have Kaikon 3000 and 4000s ,3EVs and an original Kaikon 4000 (trinidad) my favorite. BTW, anyone can find these let me know I need another pair *gulp. Now you can see I've gone gold.

Got some speedmasters and 20/40s

Newell p540s, great handles but junk knobs.

I see the Tib tbars are made for Shimano tld 20 and 25, 20II and 30II. Will they fit Trinis, toriums and the rest of them?

I'm not pulling in tuna or marlin so a large heavy bulky grip is out of the question. Thanks guyz.

Looking for Kaikons and EVs will be interesting as they are primarily released in Japan. There are a couple of shops in the East Coast that specialized in JDM reels. There are also a couple of California sellers on Ebay that sell JDM reels. Good luck.

As for the handles, isn't there a custom shop in Hawai'i that machines reel parts (for Penns and Newells?) for the ulua hunters?

Found the link Island Rocket Reels!

If you don't find the parts, you can go with the Alan Tani stainless steel handle and knob or grind off the original Newell knob from a P-series handle and just add the Tani knob. The reel below has the completed handle assembly from Alan. Good luck.

Nice looking set up Ahistick! Interesting, only a clamp and no reelseat holding the reel on. Yeah Island Rocket Reels (Fees) seem to really have it down. Looks like their billet reel is made around a newell.
