Id go with the Newell 332 or 338, and an glass stick. Dont go graphite. The glass stick loads more during the cast and you get more distance.The Newell will help offset the weight difference as well.

I've fished Trinidads before and decided to go in the Daiwa direction. The gearbox on the Trinidad, although offset, kinda turned me off, as with all the upgrades that were needed after it was purchased. I have the JX 6/3 and the Saltiga 30, and the Saltiga design incorporates a better-sealed, non-protruding gear box, good power, good retrieve, and requires far less maintenance than all four of my Avets combined. If you look around on the forums, you'll find people that have negative opinions on Avet, Newell, Penn, Shimano, and Accurate. I don't find too many people that dislike the Saltiga. I definitely don't not dislike not mine.
