Shimano Curado

I was about to buy a Curado 301,but I was told that Shimano might have a newer model coming soon.

Is it a upgrade or new model to compete with the Curado?

Anyone know anything about this?

I don't know about any new versions but the current 300 serious is a awesome reel. Very versitle. Use if freshwater swimbaits to local saltwater.

I don't think you could go wrong with the current version, plus you'll be able to score on the rebate!

There may be a new model coming, but the current ones are great.

They could beef it up more for braid, but other than that I don't know what a new model (DC?) in the same size would buy you. The rebate is nice.

There are UNCOMFIRMED rumors that the Curado line is being discontinued after the rebate sale is over. I'm not quite sure what to make ofit.

Thanks for the info.

I have the 201dhsv, it's a bad ass reel for what I use it for.....I just wanted another one because of the rebate & thought the 301 would be a good choice.

The rumors is why I asked, but if it's just rumor I might as well go get the 301 & be done with it...
