The 255/251 have interchangeable sideplates as do the 2500/2000. Both series have Jigmaster guts and are very similar to the 545/541/454/440. I put HT-100 drags in my 255, 251 and 545.

The 3500/3000 have 4/0 internals like the 545/541/454/440 and should follow the above tutorial.

I have done most of the classic Pro Gears including the 251/255 series. They are a bit more tricky when you put them together. When I get one to service again I will photograph it.

I have met one of the persons who took part in the designing and schematics of the pro gear reels.. real nice guy and was about too boat a MARLIN on the SLIDE! with a TADY !
