Hi Guys here is something worth your attention.
To date we have had 49 EOD techs die overseas, many more are disabled and in need of help. You hear about all the roadside bombs going off, and they are but many more lives are being saved by these brave souls disarming thousands of these bombs. Some guys are on their 4th tour over there doing EOD work.
The company I work for is the sponsor for a golf tournament this weekend. If you dont have have plans please contact Sandra 619 8658125 and she will get you signed up. Please read more below.
Thank you,
Bernie Zelinski BMCM/EOD (ret)

Help the Foundation Flourish
Jeff Simons pursues support for the Wounded Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Warrior Foundation as their first annual golf tournament in San Diego fast approaches. Simons, co-founder of the organization, took over the Post War Military Family Needs Foundation last year with Ken Falke, CEO of A-T Solutions and a former Navy EOD. Both impassioned to help and not wanting to see a good charity dissolve, they renamed the organization and have high hopes for its future. Their focus for the year is three fold: establish the foundation, raise $150,000 and obtain grants for research on such items as synthetic flame resistant underwear and blast odometers for the EOD warriors. The golf tournament is the first fundraiser organized to help bring the foundation a little closer to their goal.
The foundation provides funds and support to military families caring for their loved ones at military medical facilities who were severely wounded while defusing bombs in the war. The Department of Defense and Department of Veteran Affairs budgetary resources only provide families financial assistance while their loved ones are in intensive care. The foundation goes above and beyond those constraints with support including, but not limited too, plane fare, accommodations, food vouchers and other travel expenses. July and August were especially hard for EOD Warriors as eight were killed in action and five wounded. The foundation is presently assisting those five warriors and their families. Rehabilitation for EOD warriors is unpredictable and can take up to a year if not longer.
The afternoon tournament will be held at Admiral Baker Golf Course on Sunday, Sept. 23. The tournament includes a 'hole-in-one' contest. The winner will receive either a Nissan Titan or Toyota Camry. The evening will conclude with a barbecue dinner, prizes and an auction. Raffle prizes include golf clubs, gift certificates and electronics. The cost of the tournament is $125 for civilians and $75 for active duty personnel. To sign up for the tournament, contact Jeff Simons at jeffsimons@a-tsolutions or Sandra Aceves at

The foundation is also raffling off a brand new Thunder Mountain Custom Cycle, created by Wisconsin Harley-Davidson and Will Christman. The drawing will be held on December 14, 2007 and tickets are available for $100. For additional information, visit
