If you paused before typing, you would be able to figure out that I am ok with using deadly force when it comes to being a immediate life threatening situation, such as rape, breaking into your house, being car jacked, physically assaulted, ....fine, kill the skum bag.
but sitting in the safety of your home, seeing a person break into car, IMO does not justify pulling a gun out of your closet, pointing it out your door, and blasting the person. That is murder. You don't like it, what ever. But there was nothing that was BS about my comment.
I'm ok with Texas's laws. I also think criminals get treated with kids gloves, which pisses me off...but the Texas Law leaves a lot of room for "abuse", or accidental shooting. | So what would you propose if he was breaking into your car?just sit and watch?Would it be okay to just break his legs with a baseball bat?Or maybe chop his hand off with a machete? The guy was a thief and she had every right to protect her property and she chose to do it,quite legally i might add.If it happened more often there would be alot less crime in this country, keep your fucking hands off other peoples shit or pay the price.

Good on her. Where's Katana when you need some target practice??!!

I would classify it as more of Infuratiing...but not tramatic.
What is tramaitc is having to live with the unessary emotions of taking a life.
I am not defending the thief, but I am arguing, when is it "justified to use deadly force" to protect "personal property". I hate thieves just as much as the next guy, but if you see a person breaking into your car from inside your house, or across the street you are not in immediate harms way, and you have a few choices before you shoot them....
1. Just call the cops
2. Let the person know you are calling the cops verbally, and most likely the dirtbag will leave (off course, I have no issues if you have a gun in your hand when you give such warnings) and i have no problem if a person uses the gun if the dirtbag decides to direct his action at you....
3. All of the above. |
If everyone acted in this manner, and the criminals knew it was legal, we would not have any crime. Criminals have way to many rights,

I quoted the wrong post. (Sorry Art ) This was for all you YAHOOS who swing your dicks at every situation when you don't know shit about shit. Shooting a Deer or Dove is NOT Shooting a HUMAN. Thinking that Shooting everyone will end crime is just what we expect from you cave dwellers. You all sound so TOUGH.. 99.99% of you would piss yourselves and FREEZE when your target SHOOT BACK!
How closed minded are you? Do you REALLY believe that?
Is it too much for you to get your minds around the OPPOSITE to be true?
If all criminals KNOW you are going to Kill THEM then they will simply kill your wife and kids while you are out fishing so they they can safely steal your shit and not get hurt instead of sneaking in and sneaking off without them even knowing they are there.
Sobering thought eh??
Key word here is THOUGHT..... seems most here just shoot off at the mouth and never think of the OTHER side of the coin.
Funny thing is 90% of these " tough guys" would collapse from the shakes before they could drop a human anyway.

Let me be the first to say opinions are like assholes everyone has one. The life and rights of criminals seem to be tilting more towards them. Consequences of your actions should dictate your actions. Guy got what he had coming to him under the laws of that state. End of story.

Good going lady! One less POS on the street. If you don't want to get shot, don't break into cars, it's simple!

How would he kill your wife and kids if they are armed as well? I don't consider myself a tough guy, but I would have no problem shooting someone who was trying to hurt my family. I might puke after I killed someone, but I think my reflex would be to pull the trigger first.

So nobody believes in "An eye for an eye"? This is more like an eye for a hangnail if you ask me. I'm not saying I'm mourning this guys death but goddamn. I know, I know... Horse thieves were hung without trial here in the US dating back to some of your grandparents and most of our great grandparents lifetime but damn... this is why we have the court of law. Like I said, I'm all for a beanbag round in this case. Don't get me wrong. Some crackhead comes through my front door I have very little problem with ending his life but I think that's breaking even.

Horsethiefs were hung because without a horse you were stuck and probably would end up dead trying to get to civilization. Same went for molesting women. So the shithead steals the car how does she get to work to make a living and feed her family.
Dead thief is a good thief.
