I feel great sadness having learned of Bill's passing. Fishing has lost 2 of it's greats this year with Del Marsh and now Bill Poole. If you have not read Bill's book Fish or Cut Bait, it's great book, and I feel very lucky to have a copy signed by the man himself!!! RIP Bill!!

| Bill Poole's passing
I am truly saddened by hearing of the loss of such a great man. I always made an effort to say "Hello" to him at the Fred Hall show or down at the docks. And it seemed as though he always made an effort to say "Hello" to me too. What a genuinely nice man. Fish on Bill. Thank you for all that you have given to the southern california fishing community and embodying all that we all want to be.
