NO doubt a fallen Redwood in the fishing forest. Prayers go out to his family.

My heartfelt condolences go out to the Poole family. Bill gave me a chance to go out on the Cape Polaris on my first ten day trip. Frank was in the process of buying the boat, and we had Danny Sansome, Al Rich, Frank LaPreste, Bill himself along to christen the boat. this was in I think 1977 or 8. We caught 100 blacks, 50 WSB, 100 wahoo, guessin 500 yellowfin, 1000 yellowtail, 6 albacore, 100 pargo, 100 dorado, everything but bluefin on this trip. My eyes were opened on that trip to the real fishing world. Bill had told me on that trip that "I pull too hard" and I have laughed at that statement for 30 years whenever I thought about it. I will miss seeing Bill at the landing, and hearing him tell all of his amazing adventures. God bless Bill.
