Black spidar with red hour glass on belly

Yeap, got bit at our new office/ shop. Left the shop around 6pm, by 8pm vomiting uncontrollably for 28 hours. Feel OK today, just drained. Finally drinking water, electrolights, etc. Watch out for those little bastards.

Good news, the wifey sprayed the hell out of the shop and killed a lot of them and they were nesting as well.

The worst time of my life, I not longer fear the swine flu.

At about 4am lastnight I was able to get down pedialite, sprite, and pepto, which was the turn around point. As I took The Hook. It is amazing a little guy like that can lay up a 200 pund guy. The worst sickness I have ever had. Litterally vomiting every 5 minutes for 24 hours.

I was cleaning out my kids portable sandbox on Sunday and as I was spraying off the bottom, a HUGE black widow comes crawling out from the corner. We have our backyard sprayed quarterly and just had them out recently. I have never seen this many spiders in all of the years I have lived in my house. Not only are there way more then is typical, but they all seem to be on steroids, including the black widow.

Glad to hear you are okay. Man I hate spiders.

Yikes, this is the second "widow" thread I've seen in 2 days. Little buggers never bothered me before but I be squashin' the F'ers now. Glad your feeling better.

That is my nightmare. Sorry Art.

A friend of my dads used to work for a city water dept, and lifted up one of the covers on the ground only to pull his hand back and find a very large BW wrapped around his finger biting him. His reaction was to smash it, which after a couple days in the hospital the doctor said was the worst possible scenario, because he pushed all the venom possible into his finger. He is a 250 lber, and was absolutely worked by that thing.

15x more potent than rattlesnake venom... bastards.

There are some products at Home Depot that you can spray around your foundation of your house, vent holes, and in your garage, that work really well. The stuff lasts for several months. I've had great results with it last year, and just got done re applying it.
