Yes, at times they can get heavy handed and let their bias control their moderation but overall Ifish is a good place, even with it's over moderation issues.

not really sure how to take any of these responses, 'specially surfdocs.
So does this site get over-moderated as well? from a bunch of those responses I would hard pressed to think it did.
yup - I came on here to find a new site to bs on, and it just so happened that my first post is a bitch about ifish. as many of you all know, it is not the site it was 8+ years ago. then you could at least say, to an extent, what was on your mind and it would stick. slowly adding the mods that they did, and bringing their attitudes killed it.
thanks for listening, and surfdoc - this is not the only reason I joined BD's. I will contribute once I get my feet wet, actually will put up a report from when I return sometime today.
sure hope I found the right fit - wouldnt mind hookin' up with like-minded people and do some steelheadin'..... that is my passion and everything else is just a by-catch!!

BD is a good place and the moderators are all good people, you will have to try real hard to get banned from here.

Steelheadin was my favortie thing in the world when I lived in Meford. Loved the fall trips below Rainy falls. Whiskey Creek has some killer fishin!

Welcome to BD
I've been on a self imposed exile from ifish, now when i check it out I see it through different eyes and don't have any plans to be active there. It's rated "T" for toddlers and the salt on me doesn't mix well with it. Just wish the Salty Dogs would move over here. They're the only ones that make that site worthwhile.
