Has anybody Tuna fished out of Depoe lately?

I am thinking Terrafin looks pretty good straight out of Depoe... Better than up north around Tuna town.... There is a finger of 59 degree water that strecthes in over the Banana, so there is a shot the fish could he holding in that finger of warmer water.... if not a fast troll out to the 125 line where the water is 60-61....

Just curious if anybody has been out there to confirm my suspicions....

Thanks, for any feedback!!

A couple boats went out Mon, & Tue, no fish, I thing they went a little North by/past the Corners tho, we are planning a Fri run, not sure if were going N or S coast, it depends on the weather forecast.

Start playing with your bigger gear, you've got your share of albies this yr. Your new boat down south had a great time at the "Rocks". but that would be just a warm up for your trip eh???? Someone's going looong like next wk I think.....Ooooh baby........

ran into blue fins 10-6

fished depoe yesterday. ran into bluefins at 45 07 by 124.58. good size school around a quarter mile. slid in and hooked up right away. the gear we had ready was not big enough for 100 pound size fish and it departed after about 5 minutes. the school was moving around and we never slid into them again and then they bailed on us. after an hour we headed out. lots of clear green water past 125 03 and warm enough. went to 45 11 125 20 and then worked south. no jumpers at all. long 150 mile trip. maybe again saturday. good luck and i would say maybe further west.

tj, Wow..... just so I understand you clearly..... you hooked up on a 100-ish lb bluefin, and broke it off after 5 minutes? What was the "failure mode"....got spooled? Pulled too hard and "snap" ?

Sounds like you have a story to tell..... :-)

Long ride, I was looking a littel further south based upon Terrafin, but I will have to plan on going further it sounds like. I heard another rumor today from someone that was out 60 miles with Nada.....

Thanks for the post, anymore info is appreciated!!
