A quick question, how much live bait can you carry & keep it in good shape,& if I bring my own rods what kind of storage do you have for them? Thanks, Ed

I fished Depoe bay last year for the first time.. looking for tuna and whatever else came near the boat.
I have fished for a loooonnngg time out of San Diego, my back yard. I must say, the NW style of albacore fishing is way cool. Hand lines.. we tried em.. and caught fish. Out riggers, center trollers, pure spectra, the works too. Cedar plugs, tuna baits, feathers.. they all work. Live bait.. what is that? we never used em.. never caught any live bait. In San Diego, no live bait no go fishin. Much different in Depoe bay.
How can you guys catch that many fish in a matter of hours.. days on end (As long as MLB 47472 allows you past the bar).
In the end, we had enough fish to can for an entire day that will last for years..... and eat fresh for days as well.
I was new to the term meat fishing, hand lines, cold weather in July, rain, and all weather rain gear. Now that I know.. and have a year under by belt. No more San Diego Albacore and hello NW.
See you folks in August this year.

We carry about 12+ scoops of bait in a tank designed to keep the bait fresh and undamaged for a FULL day of fishing. Rods, a couple per passenger if you want to use your own. Our Live bait rods and reels are top quality. No braid please and if your fishing your gear we ask you bring your own hooks and leader. We will be happy to tie gear but if we do your gear will go into the rod rotation along with the rest.
We rotate gear as we usually just buck off the hooks and leave them in the fish. We strive to keep the gear in the water and the passengers on the fish.

Brad,
My legs were crushed several years ago, including a destroyed right knee and loss of feeling in my left foot. Wrap them and cowboy up (sheep boy up in my case?)....seriously now, figure ways around your problem, a brace, a chair, what ever it takes to keep fishing. BTW, I landed 5 cow Yellow Fin Tuna with bad legs.

Thanks Lee. The problem I have is that I,m a sheetmetal worker and just found out a that that I cant put on the tools anymore and no room for me in the office so I,m going to open my own shop and do the office stuff and get guys to do the work. SO soon as imake some bucks Illbe fishing . the thing that sucked is Iwas to go on the accurate 16 day on the Q-105 and had the truck packed and went to say good bye to the kids and the other knee blew out. Believe me assoon asIcan I,ll be fishing.
