How to check the rivers
I would like to know how to check on the height of the rivers ,around my area with out driving I want to go fishing soon Siletz Alsea and some others is there a site who lists them ??

This is one of my favorite sites...

Advanced Hydrologic Prediction Service: Portland
The Nestucca At Beaver is a very good indicator of how rivers are doing in general..
Never mind the Nehalem @ Foss readings.. Vernonia and Beaver are much better.

Also.. Before fishing the north coast rivers, i always call the NFN hotline and see what that river is running at.. If its higher than 50 inches, ill pass on banking any other rivers in the area. The North Fork Nehalem hotline is 503 368 5670. My favorite conditions are in the 30-40' range..
