Ok did some shooting yesterday after fishing ,had this old pressure tank for my water system ,filled it up with water ,and my son shot it first ,we thought it was going to blow up ,but NO ,it just had a hole in it (it was shot with my C.Sharpes in .405 Winchester ,so we got board and wanted to see which gun would go through the metal tank ,well here is my port with hand loads and factory loads ,the .405 did not pass through ,tried the 45-70 no pass through ,but a .17 HMR passed through .270 factory no pass through but a hand load with a Barnes tore a nice exit ,the most impressive was my sons 7mm-08 it did the most damage
,my son got out his .204 Ruger with a 40 Grn Horniday did not pas through but a 45 Grn Horniday went through no problem ,it sure was fun blasting the crap out of that old tank
,my 9 year old is such a stud he shot both ,the 45-70 and the .405 Win ,and his .270 with great shot placement
