Interesting news. Anyone know whereabouts off San Quintin to target WSB? What bait? Not much in the way of squid available down there, so I wonder what they bite?

Glen same place we fished while we were down there, the area south of the bay about 9 miles is suppose to be prime WSB area... I'd guess fin bait or Iron should work on mr white same as here.

yes they jigged about 30 macks 8 to 10 in and all baits were bit. the seabass were free swimming next to the boat. he said you could watch them inhale the bait. and they werent line shy either my salesman was fishing 40 pound. and he landed 12 outta the 25. using circle hooks ofcourse. 4 people were on the boats plus the capain. which really wanted to stay close to the bay but i told my slaeman to make his point known about what they wanted to catch.
