No YFT, but not empty handed.

Left Dana Point at 7:00am 10/27, headed towards 209. Saw lots of life 11 miles short. Birds, dolphin, all the signs were there. Trolled for an hour or more in the dolphin feeding frenzy. Nothing.

Decided to head in to do some inshore fishing. 1 nice sandbass, not much activity. Headed back to troll the coast for thresher. Got 2 big hits 1/4 mile offshore. Stayed close, and an hour later HOOKUP !

My son Jesse fought it for about 20 mins. Still hot and pissed when it got to the boat. Tail gaff, head gaff, baseball bat, dinner.
