10/22/06 Cortez bank

I went on an 11/2 day trip Sat. evening sponsored by the Owner Hooks /Fishing Expeditions Fishing School on board Freedom out of 22^nd St. Landing in San Pedro.
Other than four of us fishing instructors, there were 30 passengers. We had Dines/frozen squids for baits. The weather was very nice/ just about the right current.
We caught a few Yellowtail with Yoyo irons; scramble eggs & blue/white. Unlike the trip two weeks ago, almost all the Yellowtail was hooked on Dines/½ -3/4 oz. sliding egg sinkers.
Total of 41 Yellows landed, the JP was 22.6# & a 21.5# Ling took second. One Yellow Fin Tuna & 2 trolled Skippies were a pleasant surpise. We also had 50 Bones, 50 Sheeps, 200 Whitefish, plenty of Sculpin, rockfish, Salmon Grouper & Perch.

we saw you out there too. i was aboard the toronado. we did aight. good to hear you did too!
jake, were you aboard that skif that had 2 people anchored up next to us??

I saw you guys out there too. To bad you didn't kill em. We snared over 120 fish that day. Another awsome day with the Torondado. Evertime I go out with those guys well kill em.
