Took a new guy out last weekend. After waiting 1.5 hours for bait in Dana we ended up 22 mi NW of the 182. First stop was a paddy with a dude on a jet ski parked on the paddy. I actually think he was tied to it. Many other stops on lots of dry paddies for nary a bite. Got fed up with crowds, fished sharks, one nice one at the end of the day and the FNG loses it right at the boat. Long day and my first skunk of the season.

We didn't do much better on Sun. Only 2 Dodo's. Lots of boat shy fish on Paddys. Saw many that didn't want to play.

Tried to call ya back when you called in the morning, but you were waaaaay north of me----I was down plodding around the 390 when I heard ya......Less fish down south, but less people, too. I really wanted to hit that 182 area up on Saturday, but figured that everybody and their brother would be in that region.

Ended up with a few bulls on blind jig strikes and a couple of yellers off of mini-kelp I found just outside the north island-----bait SUCKED and had mostly rolled less than two hours out of SI.
