today was a day of relaxation and fun. We left Mission Bay at 6:15 and landed at the 371 at 7:33, boy was it ruff. Saw some boats but no one was doing anything. My hard charger buddy saw a patty so we went to work. Soaked some bait and watched the finder. Lots of meter marks but no takers. We put the rods in the holders on Clicker mode and started droping iron. Then it happened one rod went off and sure enough we thought it was a bonito. Not on the Cape Horn it was a blue fin. We were so stoked. After that hit of dope we thought we were in for a big day. Well the dope wore off and we began to sober up. the rest of the day consisted of 4 bonito 1 spanish mackeral and a fun time. We went from the 371 straight west 14 miles cut across to the 230 and then proceded to the 226. Lots of patties but no takers. Oh well, lots of beers, smooth water, and a blue fin dinner, isn't that bad. Cape Horn Out!!!
