Fishing south 9-24

We left MB at 9 headed south to the mushroom with my usual crew of Annieo and Bill. John (reel toy) joined us (great crew member) for his first time on my boat. The seas start to build about the 390 and by the time we reached the mushroom we were a rockn.
The seas were rough enough that the only options were downhill (SE) or uphill (NW). Reports were rougher outside, so I decided that we weren't going farther offshore; we trolled the other direction. Found several nice patties for NADA. Picked up a blind strike of a 24 lb YF, boxed the area for NADA. Headed north from below the 213 at 11, and trolled to north of the 390 by 5. Picked up the lines and headed in. All and all a good day with good people...just not much in the way of fish....

Phil, thanks for the invite. The fishing was great, although the catching was slow. It wasn't from lack of trying. We stopped at every paddy, threw everything we had at them, irons, baits, etc, unfortunately, the fish had lock jaw. We'll get em next time.

It was great meeting and fishing with you all!!!

Tight Lines.
