9-3 quick report - 182 and 43 to south

Took son and friends along for a paddy hopping adventure, except, paddies were far and few between. Baited a few for nada, then 3 miles west of the ridge between 182 & 181 we found the paddy condo at 2pm. My crew was unprepared for what would ensue. 3 for 9 (5 breakoffs and 1 farmed) on brute Yellowtail and Dodos - see for yourself below, a 30 lb dodo. There are tons of porpoise schools with no biters in this zone; immediately west of the 182 looked best but we could not get the Yellow Fin Tuna to play.

Over and out, I'm beat...

Larry

BTW, has anyone ever experimented with dodo sashimi or sushi? I've not seen it in the restaurants.

Hemingway wrote in "The Old Man and the Sea" that no fish tasted better cooked, or was more miserable raw, than Dorado...

But I have never tried it raw...so YMMV

Japanese eat it sun dried... that's as close as they get to raw.
