| Was He a BD'er?
Got a late start Sunday morning. Left SI @ 6:45 and headed to the 302 on some numbers I got yesterday. Came up on a paddy on the SW end of the bank. Soaked some dines for nada. (I was trying to put my boy on his first forkie.) About 500 yards away a tan Blackman 26 hails me and says he'd been on that paddy and caught nothing, but after a drift or two they'd gone WFO on the nicer models. He asked me if I'd like to join him and I accepted.
We all were bent in seconds, and my boy got his first unassisted forkie! Very cool of him, not enough of that goes on now-a-days. I can't help but think he must of been a Bloody Decker. I'll return the favor someday if I get the chance. Thanks guys, you made my boy's day.

Cooperation on the water is what it's all about. You'll never forget that smile your son had.

| Way to go!
Erik -
Glad you got into them. There's nothing better in the world than fishing with your kids, teaching them about the ocean and the resonsibilities that go with running a boat. I'm on my third boat, have been fishing with both of my boys for a number of years including trips to the East Cape, etc... Way to go with your son.
Hopefully, we'll, have another great season.
Rick

Very cool!
I like to see some cooperation and teamwork on the water. You just don't see enough of it these days...with some guys pulling up their paddies and all.
Especially liked the part about your son getting his first Yellowtail unassisted.
Let's hope the Albies go WFO soon!

Glenn wasn't fishing yesterday. I was on his boat down in the slip helping him do maintenance...
Of course, I'm sure that he'll take credit for it |
