Great work dude.

They are here and they have to be eating something somewhere.

How about some more info on bait and depth?

Any special rig?

Very nice Brett! Congrats to both of you guys. Talked to Dave last night right after he got the call that you landed it. Way cool!

So what was your east coast rig?

I've had more luck doing what I've been told won't work than doing "What does". Just need to break out the 80's to get big boys...NOTHING PULLS LIKE A SWORD!!!

The line was 100# Diamond Momoi Blue to 130 JB splice.

One more thing...Big props to Doug who was willing to go out and try when no one else would. He even let me get the boat dirty
Nice job Bro!!

If you marked that spot on your gps you might wanna go daytimming for sword's there. You would be surprised at what hangs on the bottom that deep....

What a great night we had Bret! That fish sure kicked my butt. I am sure you are feeling it this morning too.

What a great team effort!

Come see the sword flag hanging on the "A" Game

Way to go on the sword, now you need to get one the way a buddy of mine has been trying for years, get one in the light and get em' on fly!

Caught on a stiched squid, 250# Momoi blue smoke leader to a 330# wind on swivel, gotta have big foot guides, and glow stick about 10' up from the bait.

I'll play more couldn't find all the gear I wanted

Would love to get one on the top saw one real big fish this year by the 289 that had to go 300 easy, threw him a mack 10 times...fiinally got frustrated and hit him on the head with litter and he sank out. Not a big marlin guy never have been depsite catching a fair share of whites and blues I love finding structure, setting stuff up right and getting bit.

FLA deep dropping is where it is at right now, mostly real good fish to will try that as well but love the solitude of fishing at night.

Night Chunking for Yellow Fin Tuna up next ... probably will have to wait for next year though
