9/20 Nice Day close to home.

Cleared the point in the dark headed for the 230 area. Lots of life 2-3 miles west of the 230. Birds dolphin and Tuna. Water temp 68-69. Just over 30 miles from the point Had 8 for the day, biggest about 15 lbs.

Highlight of the day was getting triples on the sardines, probably could have had quadrupals but somebody had to work the gaff.

Nice weather, fished 5- 10 paddies but never hooked a fish off a paddy. Troll fish came on the mexican flag the small jet heads. Handfull of skippies as well.

We were out there on Sat. 6 Yellow Fin Tuna 6 Yellowtail and probably 50 Skipjunk! Could have had 100 but why?? The first 20 were fun but after that it was anoying, for 10 miles solid it was doubles and triples everytime you got the jigs back in the water. Then one finally was a Yellow Fin Tuna shortly a kelp came up holding and boiling. Great day out there!!

Now that I have had some sleep, looking at the pictures those fish do look a lot bigger. Just good photo's

A few skipjack for us but not too big of a problem.

Lots of Terns working, most of our stops came from areas of birds picking.

Did have a close call clearing the point. On the way out of the harbor we had a small whaler off the port bow.

The skipper decides to make a major course change and makes a sharp right.
They must have been focused on their electronics because I don't even think he saw us.

Luckily we saw him and made a quick turn to avoid being split in two.

WOW, got the juices flowing.........
