10-18 on the The Long Run South of 390

We were able to put together a last minute trip through the ride share forum. Nathan (Skipper/Owner of Long Run 858-336-6594) Thanks for helping put this together and letting us go even if we were short 2 anglers. Left SD around 10pm on 10-17. We had the trollers in the water before grey light around 6 miles south of the 390 and just as we were thinking it was time to have a cup of coffee triple blind strikes. 1 skippy and 2 albies. It was going off until 9:30 or so. We had were able to pull some Albie dropping down about 60 feet. The Skip Jack was non-stop a lot fun but we must have released 30+ in the 7# to 10# range. Kept 3 for Hoop Netting. The Albies were in the 8# to 12# range. Not much size but we did end up with limits. Miguel, Scott and Ryan you guys were awesome to fish with (PM with your contact info) Nothing like making some new fishing buddies through Bloody Decks. Nathan and Lee Thanks for everything. Give them a call if you want to go out.

Jeff-

Great fishing with you! I'm really glad you made the call and we got to run with 4 guys. (all solid, stoked individuals) Great call by Capt. Nathan to run south overnight, we got hit at grey light switching out to light feathers, Cedar Plug hit too, even got hit on the swimbait on the slide. We could have picked up as many albies as we wanted at the 390 area, but we made the decision to hold the rest of the bait and look for the porpoise and work north. Good call because it got pretty darn snotty out there in the afternoon, if we weren't heading north while looking it would have been even longer getting back. Nathan, Lee, I'll head out with you guys anytime. These guys worked hard all day getting us on fish and then doing surgery on them at the end of the day, solid knife work guys.

Scott thanks for heading out with Miguel, for your first offshore trip, I still think you were the good luck charm, have a safe trip home.

Miguel and Nate I will send over contact info for a surf sometime, Jeff, same to you for fishing.

Thanks guys it was a blast yesterday, even though we all know that the season is OVER!!!
